Why we made our litter picking equipment - our story

At Waterhaul, we aim to inspire and enable community action against plastic pollution.

In 2019 we created the world’s first recycled litter picker – made with 100% recycled ocean plastic components: literally made from the problem it is designed to tackle.

Proudly made in Britain, our litter picking equipment range has since expanded, with Litter Picking Bin Bag Hoops made from 100% recycled ocean plastic and our reusable bin bags upcycled from end-of-life spinnaker sails, and has been put to use by a community of over 35,000 people.

We built what we couldn’t buy, and have now turned this litter picking equipment into tools everyone can use to combat plastic pollution and preserve their natural spaces.

Are your litter pickers made in the UK?

Yes! All of our litter pickers and litter picking tools are made in the UK, using fishing gear collected from the UK coastline and recycled in the UK.

Do you offer bulk discounts for schools and councils?

Yes! We offer exclusive discounts for schools, councils and other clean up groups who are looking to place litter picker orders of 20 or more units.

Contact us to discuss custom pricing and bulk order deals to make your cleanup effort cost-effective and positively impactful.

What recycled materials are they made from?

The plastic components for our ocean positive litter pickers are made with 100% recycled fishing gear, collected from the UK coastline and recycled in the UK, which are paired with recycled aluminium shafts and Recycled PET string.

Our Litter Picking Bag Hoops are made from 100% recycled fishing gear, and our reusable litter picking bags are made using recycled spinnaker sail cloth.

How quickly can you deliver large orders?

We aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hours, however larger bulk orders may take longer. If you require your bulk litter picking equipment order for a specific date, contact us.
