Waterhaul Clean-Up Litter Picker Kit

The jaws, triggers and handles of our litter pickers are made from 100% recycled polypropylene from trawl nets and lines collected from the Cornish coastline. These are paired with recycled aluminium extruded shafts, stainless steel rivets and 100% recycled PET string to turn a problem into a solution.

We designed the parts with sufficient thickness to be rugged and strong, enabling us to utilise the degraded and less pristine fishing nets that we find on mass. Unlike for our sunglasses, we don't have to be fussy with which nets we recycle in order to deliver a great product. 

Our recycled bag hoops hold your bin bags or sacks in place with a convenient wide opening - essential for windy litter picks!

Securely grips and holds a refuse sack with a fixed 30cm diameter opening and ergonomic carry handle. Use of a hoop avoids the hassle and difficulties of loose, flapping and ripping bin bags, particularly in windy conditions.

The body of our two-part hoops is made from 100% recycled polypropylene from fishing gear, predominantly potting lines (rope), which is one of the most common forms of end-of-life fishing gear we find on our coastline.

Every hoop supports a significant positive impact, creating a significant demand (300 grams, equivalent to 7m of potting line) for plastic to be recovered and recycled. Our recycled plastic is extremely heavy-duty and even out-performed virgin plastic in our drop test comparisons, due it's flexible properties.

Handmade in Cornwall from end-of-life spinnaker sails, our beach clean bags are made from waste and equipped with a new purpose: tackling more waste!

Sails are made from incredibly strong and durable plastics, but are replaced over time to ensure reliability. No facilities currently exist for recycling, with an estimated 97% of end-of-life sails ending up in landfill. Partnering with Ocean Republic, we are upcycling this high-quality plastic by transforming end-of-life sails from waste material, into a valuable resource.

The bags are constructed from spinnaker sails; a lightweight but highly durable form of sail. Every single bag will be unique in appearance, depending on the donor sail and what position it was cut from.

Not only are you enabling your own beach cleaning capabilities, but you are also directly enabling the expansion of our ghost gear recovery and recycling efforts and creating a demand for plastic to be removed from the ocean.

You'll also be supporting the delivery of PlaNET Action, our education program. We deliver workshops across the UK, with our portable ocean plastic recycling machines and our marine biologist educators deployed to engage and inspire the next-generation in the marine environment and the plastic pollution issue.
