Last year, Waterhaul achieved a major breakthrough in our recycling R&D, resulting in a new scalable process for recycling the UK’s waste fishing and aquaculture gear— achieving an exponential leap from our previous capacity - taking our batch size from 15KG to 15 tonnes. This milestone enables us to scale our impact significantly, addressing the vast scale of the challenge, and the vast scale opportunity, of recycling waste fishing gear in the UK.

This is more than just an increase in capacity. It’s evolving our business model.

We’re now selling Traceable Marine Plastic™ as a material — enabling other brands to create their own sustainable products with our polymers. Meanwhile, we continue to expand our own product range. This positions Waterhaul not only as a purpose-driven brand, but as a UK-based material innovator and supplier, unlocking scalable impact and diversified revenue.

The investment will be used to develop this opportunity and evolution of our business model, funding further efficiencies and scale in our recycling process, R&D into developing industrial scale recycling solutions for other polymers such as nylon-6, and developing the sales opportunities and use-cases for our recycled plastic.
